Family Resource Specialist – Hybrid Role (Houston & Denver)
The Nest Schools Family Resource Center

Are you a current or former preschool teacher, school director, or early childhood educator ready for a new challenge—one that still allows you to make a big impact on children and families?

Join The Nest Schools as a Family Resource Specialist, where you’ll play a key role in creating a positive and seamless customer experience for families exploring early childhood education. We’re looking for a passionate early childhood professional—someone who understands what families need, knows what quality care looks like, and can support schools in delivering an exceptional enrollment experience. As a Family Resource Specialist, you’ll work behind the scenes and alongside school teams to enhance the customer journey, with your level of involvement tailored to each school’s needs.

This hybrid role blends remote work with in-person school support, giving you the best of both worlds: flexibility and meaningful, face-to-face connection with the communities we serve.

The Nest Schools is an early education and preschool program with a network of schools across the United States. Our team comprises long-time industry-leading experts committed to creating a new standard of excellence for the future of early childhood.

What You’ll Do:

  • Engage with inquiries via phone, and email—sharing tailored information and guiding them through the enrollment journey
  • Collaborate closely with school directors to identify enrollment opportunities and provide in-person support at the school level
  • Support enrollment training for school teams to help strengthen conversion and family engagement
  • Assist with local community engagement efforts to promote brand awareness and build school connections
  • Maintain accurate records in our CRM and follow up with prospective families
  • Collaborate with fellow Family Resource Specialists to share insights, provide support, and strengthen teamwide consistency in family engagement practices
  • Partner with marketing on local and national campaigns to boost family engagement
  • Provide compassionate and knowledgeable guidance to families exploring childcare for the first time
  • Understand and speak to what makes a high-quality early childhood program—like The Nest Schools—stand out
  • Assist in resolving parent concerns and ensure they feel heard, supported, and valued
  • Assist with special projects and team initiatives to support broader company goals

Who You Are:

  • A former or current early childhood educator, administrator, or school leader
  • A strong communicator with great listening skills and a welcoming demeanor
  • Highly organized, resourceful, and tech-savvy
  • Passionate about helping families and advocating for quality early education
  • Able to balance autonomy with collaboration in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment
  • Bilingual (especially Spanish) is a plus, but not required

Qualifications:

  • CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in early childhood education or childcare leadership
  • Deep understanding of early childhood best practices and licensing standards
  • Must reside in Houston, TX or Denver CO

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

At The Nest Schools, our core values—Kindness, Wellness, Innovation, and Fun—aren’t just words. They shape everything we do, including how we support our team.

  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Health, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), and more
  • Professional Growth: Ongoing development opportunities, mentorship, and the potential to grow within a supportive, expanding organization
  • Team Recognition: Funday Mondays, Nest Eggs Rewards, and a culture of appreciation
  • Collaborative Environment: Be part of a passionate, mission-driven team that values your voice and expertise

This position is hybrid—you’ll work remotely while also visiting and supporting schools in person. You’ll stay closely connected to the heart of early childhood education while helping families find the right fit with confidence.
